6 Food Stocks Cooking Up Big Gains

When it comes to packaged food products, these companies do it best. From baby formula to adult formula (coffee), when you’re looking for that vital bit of nutrition everyday, you’ll probably be turning to the products from being distributed by any one of these top-rated corporations. So, if you’re hungry for a stock to fit in your portfolio, any one of these will leave you satisfied.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (NASDAQ:GMCR[6]) is a specialty coffee company that has posted a significant gain of 69% in the last year. GMCR stock gets an “A” for sales growth, an “A” for operating margin growth, an “A” for operating margin growth, an “A” for earnings growth, an “A” for its ability to exceed the consensus earnings estimates on Wall Street, a “B” for the magnitude in which earnings projections have increased over the past month and a “B” for return on equity in my Portfolio Grader tool. Kraft (NYSE:KFT[8]) makes a wide range of food products including biscuits, confectionery, beverages, cheese, convenient meals and other packaged foods.
