Jeff Reeves, editor of InvestorPlace.com, regularly appears on Boston’s WRKO radio (AM 680) to talk stocks with Barry Armstrong. Today, he discussed Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT), General Motors (NYSE:GM) and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Caterpillar, Jeff said, is a diversified international company with its fingers in a lot of emerging market opportunities. It is also a decent long-term play on an eventual recovery.
General Motors got a worse review. Despite strong GM earnings recently, Reeves is bearish due to troubles in Europe and South America along with the threat of a slowdown in China auto sales.
Reeves said Apple remains a top buy, despite its roaring run to $500. He just “can’t find a reason to sell Apple.”
