Chevy Volt Parody Video Goes Viral

While there has been a lot the attention garnered recently for conservative radio personalities, there is one radio host – not named Rush Limbaugh – that is generating a lot of viral buzz today.

Ben Howe, a conservative journalist and radio personality has created a commercial parody that has generated a lot of buzz on Youtube. The parody video features an actor driving the Chevy Volt and discussing his admiration for the vehicle. This admiration seems a bit misguided as you listen to the video’s dialog.

The actor in the video states, “I’m really proud of what GM has been able to accomplish by working with the Obama Administration. They have proven that working in America you can make it in any business as long as you have unlimited financial resources and the backing of the United States government.” Ouch!

The viral video pokes fun at the Volt’s bad publicity surrounding fires after test crashes and ties back to President Barack Obama’s decision to bail out the U.S. auto industry in 2009.

As of yesterday, the viral video had generated 367,000 views. The video was removed from Youtube today, but don’t fret. Mr. Howe has posted the video on his personal Vimeo account. Click here to access the “Chevy Volt – Building a Better Tomorrow”.
