Coke tastes yummiest when it’s cold and fizzy. Advertising for the soda pop best affects consumers when it’s warm and fuzzy. Soft-drink maker Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) is once again pulling on heart strings with its latest advertising effort, the “One Happiness” campaign.
The campaign, which has been around worldwide since 2009, is currently distributing happiness at the National University of Singapore with a vending machine that shoots out a coke in exchange for a hug.
Coca-Cola “Happiness Machines” and “Happiness Trucks,” have been spotted handing out (literally) special treats to people in England, Brazil, the Philippines, the U.S., and other countries for the past three years. The huggable machine in Singapore is the first of its kind.
