Good news for java lovers: The cost of Folgers, Millstone, Cafe Bustelo and Dunkin’ Donuts packaged coffee is going down.
The owner of those four popular coffee brands, J.M. Smucker (NYSE:SJM[1]), has slashed the list price on some of its packaged coffee by about 6%. The lower price is related to a steady decline in the cost of green coffee, according to The Wall Street Journal[2].
Coffee lovers who are devoted to other brands like Caribou Coffee (NASDAQ:CBOU[3]), Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX[4]) and Maxwell House, which is owned by Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT[5]), can only hope that these companies will follow Smucker’s lead.
