On Friday, Facebook launches its mega IPO, which will attract huge interest from retail investors. One of the most notable will be Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). He says he’ll buy shares at any price, according to an interview on Bloomberg Television on May 12.
Keep in mind, however, that Wozniak is now chief scientist at Fusion-io (NYSE:FIO), a high-end flash-memory company whose biggest customer is Facebook — the social-networking giant provides more than a third of Fusion-io’s revenues. Oh, and FIO’s No. 2 customer is Apple.
Wozniak thinks Facebook’s CEO and co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is a unique leader. Basically, he believes he has the right mix of technical smarts and business savvy — even comparing him to Steve Jobs. That’s a big-time compliment coming from someone like the legendary Wozniak.
