Facebook‘s (NASDAQ:FB) falling fortune has knocked Mark Zuckerberg — the company’s 28-year-old co-founder and CEO — off the list of the world’s 40 richest people, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Zuckerberg’s net worth has dropped $4.7 billion — from $19.4 billion to $14.7 billion — since Facebook went public. Since FB shares continue to dip, it’s possible that the technological wizard could drop even farther down the billionaire ladder.
However, there are analysts who wouldn’t be surprised if FB options trading, which began yesterday, helped stabilize the company’s dreadful performance.
For now, Zuckerberg sits at spot No. 41 on the list, which is $800 million behind Colombia’s richest man, Luis Carlos Sarmiento.
