The world’s largest pizza chain, Domino’s Pizza (NYSE:DPZ[1]), has announced its entrance into the $6.2 billion gluten-free market. The company will make a crust sans rye, barley, wheat or any other ingredient that contains gluten.
An increased awareness of celiac disease and other health concerns have helped popularize gluten-free diets. Today, about 7% of people in the U.S. will only eat foods that don’t contain gluten, USA Today[2] reports.
The pizza will cost slightly more than those with gluten-stuffed crusts.
