Meet the Girl Scout Candy Bars

As if resisting Thin Mints once a year wasn't enough ...

Nestle (PINK:NSRGY) has created what has been referred to as “the world’s most valuable candy bars.”

Tomorrow, the Swiss chocolatier will begin selling three versions of its limited edition bars on Facebook. The candy bars also will be available in participating retail stores this June.

But those who want to chomp down on the cookie goodness will have to act fast. The new bars, which are being made to celebrate the 100th birthday of The Girl Scouts, will only be available through September.

Tricia Bowles, spokesperson for Nestle USA, Confections & Snacks, said in a press release that consumers started calling the company as soon as word of the candy bars got out.

“One said he’d give us all of his money for Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars. Another said she’d do ‘anything’ to get her hands on some, and our retailers seem to feel the same way,” Bowles said.

Heritage Auction Galleries has appraised the bars at $500 a piece — about a 200 times greater than their suggested retail price. The valuable confections will be available in three flavors: Thin Mints, caramel & coconut and peanut butter cream.
