Snapshot: Women’s Corporate Progress

Women & Diversity[1]As part of InvestorPlace‘s salute to Mother’s Day, we’ve recognized a number of individual women in business, including those heading blue chips[2], founding startups[3] and managing hedge funds[4].

However, we also wanted to take a look at some of the progress women as a whole have achieved in past years. The graphic below shows some of the headway women have made in the boardroom, on the payroll and in the classroom.

One hopes, however, that the charts above are far from the finished story. Especially as the gender pay gap is concerned, while women have come a long way, there’s still plenty of work to be done toward evening the playing field in Wall Street and the rest of corporate America.
