iPhone Comes to Prepaid Carrier Cricket in June: Prepaid wireless carrier Cricket Communications, owned by Leap Wireless (NASDAQ:LEAP[3]), will begin offering[4] Apple‘s (NASDAQ:AAPL[5]) iPhone on its network on June 22, MacRumors says. The iPhone 4 and 4S models will be available with a $55 per-month voice, text and data plan. The company has a three-year contract with Apple to purchased $900 million in iPhone equipment. Better still for prepaid users who yearn for an iPhone, the company appears to be offering a subsidy on iPhones, with discounts of $150 on both models compared to their standard unlocked prices, MacRumors notes.

Microsoft Office Comes to iPad in November: Work on adapting Microsoft‘s (NASDAQ:MSFT[6]) popular Office Suite for use on the iPad finished last month and Office will launch as an app[7] for iPads on November 10, The Daily reports. The Office iPad app is currently undergoing final reviews and will likely apply for App Store approval in just weeks, The Daily says.

Mac Sales Rise Sharply in Asia: Despite the fact that Apple hasn’t updated the line yet, Mac sales in Asia[8] have jumped 40% compared to last year, Apple Insider notes. That compares to Europe and North America, where Mac sales have declined as consumers await the debut of updated models. Worldwide Mac shipments rose 6.9% during the last quarter, beating global PC shipments, which increased just 2% in the quarter, Apple Insider says.
