[1]Fashions from Mad Men, one of AMC Networks‘ (NASDAQ:AMCX[2]) two golden children, inspired the design of new McDonald‘s (NYSE:MCD[3]) uniforms that will debut at the London 2012 Olympic Games[4]. This fall, the 87,500 workers McDonald’s employees to staff its UK stores will don the new uniforms.
“We’re delighted to have an iconic British design team, led by Wayne Hemingway, on board to help us create our new look,” Jez Langhorn, Vice President, People, McDonald’s UK, said in a press release[5]. “They’ve succeeded in coming up with a contemporary and fresh design that I know our people will feel proud to wear.”
Here are a few fast facts about the fast-food icon’s new uniforms.
