Just like the social media platform itself, Twitter’s logo has matured. The once pudgy blue bird now sports a sleeker, more confident look. Twitter also dropped the many accessories attached to its former icon. That means no more bubbled typefaces or lowercase “t.”
“Our new bird grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry, Twitter said on its blog. “This bird is crafted purely from three sets of overlapping circles — similar to how your networks, interests and ideas connect and intersect with peers and friends.”
Twitter used this video to illustrate its point.
