Grammy Award-winning recording artist and mom Jennifer Hudson has partnered with Pampers to record an original rendition of Lullaby and Goodnight.
Pampers, a Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) company, is offering a free download of the classic lullaby on its Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) page.
To celebrate its partnership with Hudson, the famous diaper brand will make a $100,000 donation to the Julian D. King Gift Foundation to benefit infants, tots and moms. Hudson had set up the foundation in honor and memory of her late nephew, who was murdered in 2008 along with Hudson’s mother and brother.
Bedtime melodies hold a special place in Hudson’s heart. The songstress, who rose to fame after competing on American Idol nearly a decade ago, recently told Showbiz Spy that making time each night to put her son David to bed is a high priority.
“It is so important to have that time with your kids,” Hudson said. “Those are the special things that children keep and always remember and cherish the moment. That’s what I reflect back on — as a child, when my mother would have me on her lap and sing to me. Those are the things that build your character.”
