The retail industry is a menagerie of consumer products that range from necessities like groceries, medication and farm supplies to frivolities such as candy, baubles and video games.

STORES’ recently released its annual retail report listing the biggest retailers in the nation. Some of the retailers are specialty chains and others carry eclectic inventories. All are major industry players. Here’s a rundown of the top 25 stores on the report.
