The retail industry is a menagerie of consumer products that range from necessities like groceries, medication and farm supplies to frivolities such as candy, baubles and video games.

STORES’ recently released its annual retail report[1] listing the biggest retailers in the nation. Some of the retailers are specialty chains and others carry eclectic inventories. All are major industry players. Here’s a rundown of the top 25 stores on the report.
