Zombie Preparedness Kit: What You Get for $24,000

Concerned that the world’s just one genetic mutation or classified government experiment away from a real life zombie apocalypse?

Fret no more.

Optics Planet has created the Z.E.R.O. kit[2] that will enable scrappy apocalyptians to wipe out gobs of brain-munching baddies and avoid becoming lunch.

The Z.E.R.O. kit, which stands for Zombie Extermination, Research and Operations, retails for $23,999 and contains the zombie-fighting necessities like special gloves, night-vision goggles, a solar-panel battery charger, etc.

Although the kit is intended mostly as a novelty item, Optics Planet Marketing Team Leader Brian Weiss, told CBS Atlanta[3] that there was a deeper reasoning behind creating Z.E.R.O.

“We wanted to raise awareness of what could people need in a survival situation, like with the weather we’ve been having lately,” Weiss said. “We want to get people thinking about what they could use. “
