Auditions for the next season of American Idol have been under way for about two months, but the show’s still short a judge or two — and time is running out.
Earlier this summer we learned that J.Lo and Steven Tyler are out, Mariah Carey is in, country cutie Brad Paisley is a maybe and Randy Jackson will sorta, kinda be involved with the show in some fashion. Maybe Jackson will be a judge, maybe he won’t, but the king Dawg has told various media outlets on several occasions that he’ll be back.
This week, a few more names were tossed around the Idol rumor mill. Here’s list of celebs who might be the next judge on the show that’s slated to air in January.

- Pharrell Williams: N.E.R.D rapper (Source: US Weekly, New York Daily News)
- Sean “Diddy” Combs: Superstar rapper (Source: E!)
- Alanis Morissette: Canadian/American singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer and actress (Source: Perez Hilton)
One person who won’t be an Idol judge this coming season is Pink. The edgy rocker has reportedly turned down judges chairs at Idol, X-Factor and The Voice.
