Apple’s Passbook Gains Traction With Retailers

Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) Passbook, a new app that brings coupons, loyalty and discount cards to iPhone and iPod Touch users, is making significant strides in signing up affiliates. The app, which allows users to earn discounts and other incentives without physical cards, rolled out with Apple’s latest mobile operating system,  iOS 6.

In addition to the names listed below, onlineprepaid.com is reporting that American Express (NYSE:AXP) and Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) will soon announce that they’re joining the service.
