[1]Kelley Blue Book is out with its annual list of the cars with the best resale value[2].
The list of 2013 models is dominated by trucks and SUVs from Japanese automakers Honda (NYSE:HMC[3]) and Toyota (NYSE:TM[4]). In fact, only two cars, the Honda Civic and Toyota’s Scion tC, made this year’s list. Toyota placed six vehicles in the top 10.
One model from Chrysler, now owned by Italy’s Fiat (PINK:FIATY[5]) — the Jeep Wrangler — is the only vehicle from an American brand on the list. Volkswagen‘s (PINK:VLKAY[6]) Porsche also placed one vehicle on the list.
According to Kelly Blue Book, the average car retains only 38% of its selling price at the end of five years.
