Christmas Pricing The 12 Days of Christmas for 2012[1]Your Christmas gift list will be more expensive this year[2] – especially if it includes 10 lords-a-leaping, 12 drummers drumming and five gold rings.

PNC Financial Services (NYSE:PNC[3]) is out with its annual tally of the cost of the 364 presents mentioned in the traditional Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas. This year, anyone brave enough to try delivering the carol’s long list of unique goodies will pay 6.1% more than last year, the Associated Press noted.

Assuming one can find all the items — or a true love willing to receive them — the total bill for the geese, maids, lords, drummers, swans, turtle doves and, of course, the partridge in the pair tree will come to $107,300 this year.

A PNC representativce noted that the cost of the items in the carol had risen faster than inflation, which is up just 2% since last year.
