[1]Artist Yoko Ono, famous as the widow of Beatle John Lennon, has designed a new line of … well, provocative menswear[2].
The fashions — which Ono said were inspired by a series of drawings she did, “Fashions for Men,” in 1969 — feature handprints over the wearer’s crotch and other suggestive patterns. One sweater has holes cut over the nipples.
The designs came about because she was proud of how good Lennon looked and her wish that there was clothing available that would highlight how sexy he was, Ono told WWD.
The menswear is available at Opening Ceremony‘s store in New York City, where Ono lives. It will soon be available in London and Los Angeles, as well. The stores also are selling a book featuring Ono’s original sketches, including notes about the drawings.
