When trying to think about how to tip, factor in how much help the person has provided over the year. If you have relied on the person a lot or if excellence service is provided, tipping more is a good idea.

Here’s a list from Reuters, with suggestions for how much to tip:

  • Custodian: $30 – $100
  • Paperboy: $20 – $50
  • Gardener: $20 – $100
  • Parking Attendant: $20 – $40
