[1]There’s a lot to think about during the holidays — decorations, shopping, cleaning, traveling, dining, gift-giving — but it’s important not to forget about the people helping you do all those things.
Around Christmas, tips are given to more than just servers in restaurants. Couriers, gardeners and cleaning help can all receive a holiday tip. It’s a way to thank people for their work over the years and to create some cheery feelings during the cold months.
When trying to think about how to tip, factor in how much help the person has provided over the year. If you have relied on the person a lot or if excellence service is provided, tipping more is a good idea.
