Most Unusual Baby Names of 2012

[1]Babies are being saddled with some strange names this year … or at least so says Babycenter.com’s annual baby-naming survey[2].

“Picking a unique name” was listed by more than 4,000 parents as the top factor in choosing a name. And some of them sure did.

Here’s a sample of the unusual names chosen by the 500,000-plus survey respondents:

Girls:

• Excel
• Shoog
• Jury
• Hailo
• Leeloo

Boys:

• Espn
• Burger
• Google
• Tron
• Bond
