Online shoppers report that they’re most satisfied when shopping at Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN). The Internet retailing giant topped ForeSee’s annual customer satisfaction rankings for the eighth consecutive year, CNET noted.
Amazon received a score of 88, out of a possible 100, based on ForeSee’s analysis of 24,000 customer surveys conducted between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Coming in second was L.L. Bean, which scored 85. QVC ranked third, followed by Vitacost.com (NASDAQ:VITC) and Esteelauder.com.
But ForeSee’s survey didn’t contain good news for everyone. J.C. Penney (NYSE:JCP), whose retail operations are struggling after it changed promotional strategies, saw its customer satisfaction grade fall 6%.
Shoppers also expressed less satisfaction with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), which tumbled from a second place last year to its worst ranking in four years. Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) also fell sharply. Both Apple and Dell saw their customer satisfaction ratings decline by 4%.
Shares of Amazon, Apple and Dell fell about 1% in Thursday morning trading, while J.C. Penney dropped more than 3%.
