Shakira’s Ex Sues Her for $100 Million

[1]Pop singer Shakira is being sued by her former business manager — and former boyfriend — for $100 million.

Ex Antonio de la Rua filed the suit last month, citing a breach of contract and claiming that he is owed money for his time spent managing Shakira’s career, reports The Daily Mail[2].

Shakira, one of the world’s top pop stars, had a ten-year romantic relationship with de la Rua that ended in 2010. Prior to that, de la Rua was the singer’s business manager and continued in that role after the two split up.

He was fired last year, but contends that his marketing and business strategy led the singer to new heights of success and were extremely profitable.

Shakira, who is set to replace Christina Aguilera on The Voice next season, is pregnant with the child of Barcelona FC star Gerard Pique.
