‘Entourage’ Movie Is a Go

No start date for filming has been set


hollywood sign 630Entourage, the popular show that ran for eight seasons on Time Warner‘s (NYSE:TWX) HBO cable channel, will make its way to the big screen.

Warner Bros. is moving to produce a movie based on a script written by series creator Doug Elfin, which will reunite the show’s cast of young actors. The studio has not yet announced when work on the film will begin, Deadline notes.

The series, which ran from 2004 to 2011, starred Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara as the friends and hangers-on surrounding a young, rising movie star played by Adrien Grenier. Jeremy Piven played the star’s mercurial agent.

Actor Mark Wahlberg served as executive producer for the series, which was loosely based on his own experiences during his early days as an actor in Hollywood.
