Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain spent a recent flight delay complaining about American Airlines (PINK:AAMRQ) via Twitter Monday.
After Bourdain’s flight from Miami to Grand Cayman was delayed for almost two hours on Monday, he decided to tweet, ABC News reports. At first, the chef complained about the delay and the lack of information concerning it. Then, after he got more information, he tweeted, “@Bourdain: Latest news is it took #AA two hours to admit a passenger dropped a wet deuce on a seat. Need to change planes”
The tweets caught the attention of another reality star, chef Anthony Zimmern, who tweeted in response, “@andrewzimmern: @Bourdain Amazing how with all the technology it takes to fly, all it takes is some little s**t to mess it all up for everyone”
Even AA competitor Virgin Atlantic got in the act, tweeting, “@VAAintheUSA: We feel your pain @Bourdain. The combo of a dropped deuce & AA service gives flying a bad name. Come w/ us next time!”
American Airlines released a statement saying, “the flight in question was delayed approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
