Kobe Bryant, Wife Call Off High-Profile Divorce

[1]Superstar basketball player Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa have called off their announced divorce.

The two were seen together at the InStyle Golden Globes ceremony earlier this week, The Daily Beast reports[2]. Last month, Vanessa filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had been married for more than 10 years.

Kobe Bryant’s alleged extramarital affairs may have had something to do with the split, as well. Bryant famously had to deal with a charge of sexual assault from a woman in Colorado in 2003. There have been reports from the wives of other members of the Los Angeles Lakers that Kobe has continued to play the field while being married to Vanessa.

Had the divorce gone through, Vanessa would have been in for a very large payday. Kobe’s estimated annual income exceeds $50 million, and the two never signed a prenuptial agreement.
