Included in the deal is streaming access to popular shows from Cartoon Network, including Adventure Time, Ben 10, Regular Show, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Children’s Hospital and The Boondocks.

Beginning next year, Netflix will also gain access to the first two seasons of TNT’s Dallas reboot.

Netflix is moving to acquire more streaming content in an effort to fend off competition from rivals including Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Hulu and Redbox Instant, a joint venture between Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and Coinstar (NASDAQ:CSTR) that will launch this year.

Netflix announced last week that it had concluded a deal with Warner Bros. Television Group, adding a number of other TV shows, including Longmire, Revolution and Political Animals to its library.

Shares of both Netflix and Time Warner slipped fractionally in Tuesday morning trading.
