PepsiCo, Anheuser-Busch Teaming Up for Super Bowl XLVII Ad Rush

Pepsi, Bud Light and Doritos to share the spotlight

Brand giants PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) and Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE:BUD) are launching a joint marketing campaign before Super Bowl XLVII.

The two firms will be promoting Bud Light, Doritos and Pepsi at grocery locations, Business Insider reports. All three products will be displayed together under the slogan, “Super Bowl, Super Team, Super Party,” with the two firms hoping to create a one-stop-shop location for football fans to pick up their supplies for the game.

The move allows the companies to promote their two top products, Bud Light and Doritos, both of which are tops in their markets, and PepsiCo gets to provide a shot in the arm to its flagship product, Pepsi, which is No. 3 behind Coca-Cola‘s (NYSE:KO) namesake brand and Diet Coke.

In addition to the pre-Super Bowl campaign, ads for Pepsi, Doritos and Budweiser will run during the game.
