Priceline Taps ‘Big Bang Theory’ Star for Ads

Kaley Cuoco, star of the hit TV show The Big Bang Theory, has been hired by Priceline (NASDAQ:PCLN[1]) for a new set of ads.

Cuoco will play the daughter of longtime Priceline pitchman William Shatner in the ads, USA TODAY reports[2]. Her character will have been educated — at a remote mountain retreat by Master Khan — to become a Priceline Negotiator.

Cuoco says that, while Shatner has made the firm cool, the firm wants to begin appealing to a younger market.

The two have already shot two ads for the company, with two more still to be filmed. The first of the ads will start running Jan. 14.
