Steve Jobs Film to Hit Theaters in April

A second film about the Apple co-founder is in development

Fans of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Steve Jobs will have to wait until the spring for a movie about the company’s late co-founder to appear in theaters around the country.

Titled jOBS, it stars Ashton Kutcher as the iconic Apple leader. It will make an early debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Part City, Utah, later this month before opening nationwide in April, ABC News notes.

In fact, jOBS will be one of two movies detailing Jobs’ life and the rise of Apple. Hollywood is working on a second movie, whose script will be penned by West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin.

The producers of jOBS say they were given access to the garage in which Jobs and partner Steve Wozniak launched Apple. The movie also stars Dermot Mulroney and Josh Gad.

After his death in 2011, Jobs was succeeded as Apple CEO by Tim Cook, who has steered the company through the launch of the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, as well as the debut of the new iPad Mini.
