[1]Mexican fast-food chain Taco Bell (NYSE:YUM[2]) has stopped running an ad making fun of vegetables.
The ad made the argument that bringing vegetables to a party is the equivalent of punting on fourth-and-one, reports Fox News[3]. It also implied that those who bring vegetables are secretly hated by other party goers.
Nonprofit public advocacy group Centers for Science in the Public Interest led an effort to get people to tweet their dismay over the ad to the company. Taco Bell quickly pulled the ad after hearing from customers.
The CSPI expressed its appreciation to the chain for the fast reaction.
