A home for sale in the Dallas area is the most expensive on the market.
The Crespi-Hicks Estate is on the market for a the price of $135 million, reports Forbes. The Texas palace is now listed on the Multiple Listing Service, a network that real estate agents use to list homes for sale.
The palatial estate — 42,500 square feet — in the Mayflower district sits on 25 acres. Behind the iron gates, buyers will see the five-story home, a two-story guest cottage and a pool house with three stories. The home is now owned by Tom and Cindy Hicks. Tom is the chairman of Hicks Holdings, a private equity firm.
Inside the home are millions of dollar worth of upgrades the Hicks have put in over their 16 years as owners. Delft tiles, Italian walnut walls and an art deco bar all contribute to the expense of the home.
Originally developed by Count Pio Crespi of Italy, it was the last home designed by famous architect Maurice Fatio.
