If you just can’t get enough of Mattel‘s (NASDAQ:MAT) iconic Barbie dolls, Taiwan has a new attraction just for you.
In the country’s capital, Taipei, a new Barbie-themed restaurant, the world’s first, has opened. In addition to splashes of magenta and pink — Barbie’s favorite colors — the restaurant’s $1.7 million decor features plenty of Barbie dolls and memorabilia, CNN notes.
Slim-figured Barbie doesn’t look like a foodie, but the restaurant’s menu offers chicken, tiramisu, steak salad, and macaroons. The main dishes are priced around $8.
The restaurant is run by Taiwan-based Sinlaku, which also runs a Hello Kitty-themed cafe in the city, and which licensed the Barbie branding from Mattel. The wait staff is dressed to look like Barbies and Kens.
Last year, Mattel announced that it would create a “Beautiful and Bald Barbie” aimed at children battling cancer and other disorders that result in hair loss.
Shares of Mattel rose fractionally in Thursday trading.
