The upcoming biopic of the late Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher as the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) co-founder, is already being panned by one reviewer. Unfortunately, that critic is Steve Wozniak, who helped Jobs launch the iconic company in the late 1970s.
After viewing a clip of the movie’s first scene, Wozniak told Gizmodo that the events shown never happened, and that the scene completely mixed up his and Jobs’ early attitudes toward the impact personal computers could have on society.
Calling the scene’s take on Apple’s birth “totally wrong,” Wozniak also noted that the actor portraying him in the scene was dressed far more professionally than he did at the time.
Despite these flaws, Wozniak said the movie could still be good, if it was entertaining, and noted that he had only viewed the one scene.
After debuting at the annual Sundance Film Festival, jOBS hits theaters nationwide on April 19.
