AOL (NYSE:AOL) is changing the name of its marketing group, Advertising.com Group.

The Internet pioneer is rebranding Advertising.com Group as AOL Networks. The former name had caused confusion among consumers, who associated it with the company’s display business, company officials told Adweek.

Advertising.com debuted in 2011. AOL decided to change its branding last month. The move is part of restructuring efforts launched by CEO Tim Armstrong.

AOL Networks will include AOL’s ad sales business, AOL On Network, goviral, ADTECH, and Pictela.

In November, AOL posted third-quarter earnings of $20.8 million, topping Wall Street expectations.

Shares of AOL rose fractionally in Tuesday afternoon trading.
