Beau Chevassus wanted to make sure he paid the most money possible for a cup of coffee at Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX).
To acheive this lofty goal, Chevassus went to a local Starbucks and filled a 52-ounce mug with 48 expresso shots, some soy, vanilla bean, two bananas and protein powder, topping off his concoction with caramel drizzle Frappuccino chips. The bill for his drink came to $47.30, but because it was his birthday, the coffee shop didn’t charge him, the Los Angeles Times notes.
Chevassus dubbed his high-priced, super-caffinated drink the “Quadriginoctuple Frap.” It required a couple of days to drink.
Previously, the most expensive customer-ordered Starbucks drink cost just $23.60.
Shares of Starbucks dipped fractionally in Thursday midday trading.
