‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Under Fire for Paid Tweet

[1]Kaley Cuoco — one of the stars of the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory — is in trouble with her network.

Cuoco tweeted recently promoting Dish Network‘s (NASDAQ:DISH[2]) new Hopper system, even though CBS (NYSE:CBS[3]) is suing Dish, reports UPI[4].

Cuoco tweeted, “Amazing! Watching live TV anywhere on the #Hopper looks pretty awesome! Now where can I find a tiny beer? #ad.” Cuoco sent the tweet — along with a link to a Hopper commercial — to her 1.2 million Twitter followers.

CBS and Dish are in a legal dispute over the Hopper technology. It allows users to skip commercials automatically when playing back television programs. While neither CBS nor Cuoco’s camps have commented on the issue, the star has removed the tweet from her Twitter feed.
