Fortune’s Most Admired Companies in the World 2013

A new study by Fortune magazine lists the most admired companies in the world.

The magazine’s list is compiled from more than 1,400 firms. In partnership with Hay Group, the magazine surveyed executives, directors and analysts about the companies in the initial sorting. Overall, the 3,800 people surveyed were asked to rank their top 10 from the list.

Here are the top 10 most admired companies:

1. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)
2. Google (NASDAQ:GOOG)
3. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)
4. Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO)
5. Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX)
6. IBM (NYSE:IBM)
7. Southwest (NYSE:LUV)
8. Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A, BRK.B)
9. Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS)
10. FedEx (NYSE:FDX)
