Free Pancakes at IHOP on Feb. 5

[1]Hungry pancake-lovers can eat free for charity today at the International House of Pancakes (NYSE:DIN[2]).

The chain is providing free pancakes to customers and asking them to contribute to charity for today only, reports The Los Angeles Times[3]. IHOP as a whole elected to sponsor the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, while each store can also list local charities to receive donations. CMNH raises money to support 170 non-profit healthcare facilities for children.

This is the eighth year that the restaurant has sponsored what it has dubbed “National Pancake Day.”[4]. Over the eight years the chain has raised more than $10 million for various groups by giving away pancakes. The company hopes to raise $3 million this year.

Celebrities even get involved with the even. This year’s Miss America Mallory Hagan is scheduled to appear and flip pancakes at the chain’s Hollywood restaurant.
