[1]Rockstar Games, developer of the immensely popular Grand Theft Auto video game series, announced that the new version will be delayed.
Rockstar is moving the release date of Grand Theft Auto V from March to Sept. 17, The Daily Telegraph is reporting[2]. The company said the extra time is needed to finish developing the game.
“We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTA V is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require,” the company’s website states.
Developed primarily by Rockstar’s Edinburgh studio, the game is to be set in Los Santos, a fictional version of Los Angeles. Previously, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was set in Los Santos.
