Mega-star Lady Gaga is canceling or postponing several dates on her tour due to injury.
The popular singer — whose real name is Stefani Germanotta — postponed shows in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ont., that were set for the next week, reports The New York Times. The shows will be rescheduled if possible, and ticket holders are advised to hold on to their tickets until the new dates are announced.
Lady Gaga is suffering from a condition called synovitis. It causes joint pain through a build up of fluids that inflames the membranes around the joints. In a statement, the singer said she’s been suffering from the condition for a month.
In a tweet, she expressed her disappointment, “It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I’m sorry.”
