Yum! Brands (NYSE:YUM) Pizza Hut chain is adding tiny pizzas to its menu.
The chain rolled out “Big Pizza Sliders” this week. The mini-pizzas are 3.5-inches in diameter and come with various toppings. A box of nine pizza sliders will cost customers $10, while three pizza sliders can be had for $5, Restaurant News notes.
Customers received their first look at the pizza sliders during Sunday’s pre-game Super Bowl show on CBS (NYSE:CBS).
Pizza Hut will debut the new mini pizzas in concert with a promotional campaign in which customers can win prizes through video-game service Virgin Gaming.
On Tuesday, Pizza Hut will give the pizza sliders out for free between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in an effort to introduce customers to the product. Free pizza sliders will have pepperoni and cheese toppings.
Shares of Yum! Brands fell almost 3% in Tuesday midday trading after the company posted surprisingly weak sales in China, and noted that its business there would contract this year.
