The chain store Baillio’s, based in Albuquerque, offered its customers a special deal prior to the game, reports KRQE. The store guaranteed that anyone who purchased a certain type of bedding or television would receive a full refund if either the first- or second-half kickoff resulted in a touchdown.
Ravens kick returner Jacoby Jones took the second-half kickoff deep in his own endzone and ran 108 yards for a touchdown. That made 79 Baillio’s customers pretty happy, as it earned them more than $115,000 worth of refunds.
Baillio’s president Rob Kujath isn’t complaining, though. He told KRQE, “We had a party here with a group of people, and I was just thrilled to see the kickoff run back for all those people.” He also said that the store has insurance that is covering the cost of the refunds.
