The report showcases which states and metropolitan areas are home to the best nursing home care. More than 15,000 nursing homes were investigated and ranked during the study.
The study used information collected by the federal government and its Nursing Home Compare reports that is compiled by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Each nursing home is evaluated for how the CMMS ranks it as well as quality of care, nurse staffing and health-inspections records.
