Early next month, Yum Brands‘ (NYSE:YUM) fast-food chain will finally bring the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos to market.
The new menu item will hit March 7 in hopes of replicating the wild success of its Nacho-Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos. That nacho cheese item was Taco Bell’s most successful new product in 2012, selling more than 350 million in less than one year, reports USA TODAY.
The demand was so strong that the company delayed the launch of the ranch-flavored tie-in until it had a better handle on things.
The company plans to put some real marketing muscle behind the new item, both in traditional advertising, as well as on Facebook, where all 10 million of the company’s Facebook fans will be pushed to try the new product.
