On Monday, Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) announced that it is implementing threaded comments on its Pages, allowing users to respond directly to previous comments.
The new system will keep comments linked to each other, making it easier for users to follow separate conversations. Additionally, the new system will allow user feedback to move particular comments — and associated conversations — to the top or bottom of the page, highlighting interesting comments while pushing spam comments to the bottom, PC Magazine notes.
Pages with more than 10,000 followers will have the new Replies feature enabled automatically. The system will be available to all Pages by July 10. However, only users viewing Facebook on a desktop computer will be able to see the new Replies format. The service will reach mobile users later.
Earlier this month, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) announced that U.S. users are now able to share their movie queues and comments with friends through a social media tie-in with Facebook.
Shares of Facebook rose fractionally in Tuesday morning trading.
